Crew was with Sabic and its predecessor, GE Plastics, for more than 34 years. Sabic bought GE Plastics in 2007, and Crew has led the Pittsfield-based engineering resin supplier since March 2008.
“He has been a valued partner and important source of advice during a very critical period of organizational change,” said Mohamed Al-Mady, CEO of parent company Saudi Basic Industries Corp., in a news release. “We wish Charlie the very best in the future.”
Crew joined GE Plastics in 1977 as an account manager. In 1994 he was named vice president and general manager of Americas’ commercial operations for GE Plastics. He moved to the Netherlands to lead GE Plastics’ European business, and later returned to the U.S. as president and CEO of LNP Engineering Plastics when GE acquired that business.

“Keith is an accomplished executive with diverse expertise and a proven record of delivering productivity improvements and growth,” Al-Mady said in the release. “I am confident he will sustain this success for himself and our company.”
