Plastics are durable and degrade very slowly; the molecular bonds that make plastic so durable make it equally resistant to natural processes of degradation. Since the 1950s, one billion tons of plastic has been discarded and may persist for hundreds or even thousands of years.

China Plastics Piping Association

China Plastics Piping Association (CPPA), is a non-profit organization founded on the principle of voluntariness by enterprises manufactured plastic pipes and some related social organizations in China.At present, there are more than 300 members from 28 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), consisting of research and testing institutions, manufacturers of plastic pipes and fittings, suppliers of inspection equipment and raw material and etc., some of which are administrative offices of foreign companies in China.The throughput and sales volume of the members of China Plastics Piping Association (CPPA) accounts for about 70% of the plastic pipes industry.

 HONG KONG (Nov. 23, 4:25 p.m.) — For some plastics packaging firms in the cosmetics industry, China is starting to lose its luster as the favored manufacturing spot.

Pushed by factory wages rising 10-20 percent a year in mainland China and by cosmetics manufacturers worried about disruptions of global supply chains, some of them are starting to look elsewhere.
